Five Star Burgers
I’ve only been in St. Louis for a little over a month, but word on the street is that the new Five Star Burgers, which opened last Friday, was highly anticipated. With a sign on the door reading “Opening in early August”, the Clayton restaurant certainly kept everyone in suspense. This past Saturday, my husband and I happened to be in the area when we noticed they were finally open for business. We stopped in for a late lunch. The restaurant was decently busy, and seemed to be operating with few hiccups, considering it’s infancy. For my meal, I ordered the Turkey Burger Cobb Salad, which came with all the usual cobb ingredients, plus a turkey burger on a skewer, and black peppercorn ranch dressing. My husband also ordered a turkery burger, and we shared
one two sides of fries. We were astonished by how flavorful, juicy, and superior the turkey burger was. The burger, we both agreed, was the perfect size – not too thin, but more importantly, not too thick – and created with high quality, all-natural white meat turkey. I’m already excited to go back and try a more inventive burger, and a mint chocolate chip brownie shake.
