So. Darn. Easy.

When I’m looking for an easy appetizer to make, often times all I can come up with are recipes that are overly cheesy or packed with mayo. Not that I don’t love those dips every now and then, but sometimes I just want an appetizer that won’t make me feel too full before a meal.

Several years ago I was at a potluck, and someone brought these Cocktail Chicken Sausages for an appetizer…I’ve been making them ever since. Not only is the appetizer totally addictive, but it’s so darn easy! The simple combination of Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ Sauce and Soy Vay Teriyaki creates the most amazing sweet and savory sauce that caramelizes onto the chicken sausage. I promise you, this appetizer will be the hit of the party!

Cocktail Chicken Sausage

What You Need

  • 4 Amy's Apple & Gouda Cheese Chicken Sausage, or any desired flavor
  • 1/4 cup Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki Sauce (Trader Joe's has a brand of this as well)
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ Sauce
  • A couple dashes of soy sauce

What To Do

  1. Slice chicken sausages into bite sized pieces.
  2. Saute chicken sausage pieces in a pan over medium heat until both sides are browned.
  3. Mix teriyaki sauce and bbq sauce in a bowl. Pour over sausages on high heat.
  4. Cook until sauce begins to caramelize over the sausage pieces. Be careful not to burn the sauce.
  5. Serve in a bowl with tooth picks.
