When a restaurant has been around for multiple decades, one can assume that they must be doing something right to be able to swim in a highly competitive industry where business are constantly sinking. When my friend invited to me try Arun’s Thai, a Chicago institution that has withstood the test of time for 20+ years, I knew this was something not to be missed.

Located in a humble neighborhood on the north side, the restaurant presents the traditional Thai cuisine through a prix fixe degustation menu selected by the renowned chef, Arun Sampanthavivat. Beginning with a fresh Lychee martini, our 7-course dinner provided us with a fabulous assortment of appetizers, entrees, and a dessert that seriously left me wanting more! Each course tantelized my tastebuds with unique flavor profiles and spices that were complex and authentic. Although none of the courses were too extreme, it was still a culinary adventure that I’d gladly go on again.
