Smooth Move

Aside from frozen yogurt, fruit smoothies are something I crave all summer long.

There’s something about the sweet fruit and thick consistency sipped through a straw that I find so satisfying.

Quite frankly, nothing tastes better on a hot day than a cold smoothie for breakfast or after a day at the beach.

With the warmer months upon us, my smoothie intake is about to rise. Instead of running out everytime I have a hankering, I’m starting to experiment with different combinations of the blended drink at home.

It all began last week when I was working from home. I started my day with a Berry Pineapple Smoothie. I just happend to have these ingredients on hand, so feel free to change out the fruits and dairy items based on what you have in your kitchen. The results are sure to yield a refreshing and delicious treat!

Berry Pineapple Smoothie

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 1 smoothie

What You Need

  • 1/2 cup fresh or unsweetened frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt or vanilla yogurt
  • Ice, if needed

What To Do

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy!


If your fruit isn't sweet enough, add 1 teaspoon of raw agave nectar.
