It’s always exciting when something new and different presents itself, allowing you to step out of your usual routine. When my cousin invited me to a Fit Club event on Friday night, it sounded like a fun activity that would encourage me to switch things up.
Fit Club was started by a small group of busy, women professionals who wanted to be able to spend time with their friends, and exercise on nights that weren’t dedicated to work. In an effort to join the two, the girls would work out together, trying a different fitness class each month, then go out for a healthy dinner afterwards.
Equinox got wind of Fit Club’s efforts and decided to kick things up a notch. The heath club invited 30 girls to their Gold Coast location for an hour and a half sampler of their three most popular classes. We worked the bosu ball, got acquainted with the ViPR, and tested our Willpower and Grace. It was definitely one of the better workouts I’d had in a long time and I’m still feeling the effects today!
The evening didn’t end there! Following the workout, Equinox treated Fit Club and the instructors to amazing evening at NoMi in the Park Hyatt. The food was impeccable, down to the amuse bouche, which was olive oil and sea salt gelato. One of the girls I was with became my dining-partner-in-crime and split both entrée and dessert options with me so we could sample everything. The night was complete with a warm welcome from executive chef Ryan LaRoche, and a generous gift bag, courtesy of Equinox.
